Some readers have asked me to include a family group sheet on the site. Even though there are many free family group sheets floating around on the internet, I decided to post a basic form here as well.
Family group sheets help you create a picture of the entire family instead of just the parents. Children are important because they may hold additional clues about the family and may help you break through a brick wall in your research. I’ve used family group sheets to trace my family tree in many cases where I couldn’t find a maiden name or a birth/death date for an ancestor. There is always more information out there and family group sheets help you organize it better.
